If you’re planning to speak at the Santa Cruz March 12-14 Coastal Commission meeting during general public comment sign up under “Submit Speaker Request Here.” People speak for two minutes at a time on the various projects they anticipate will be coming before the Coastal Commission in the future. This is a really powerful agency so you can start making your case here. EVEN IF THE CEC APPROVES A BESS PROJECT UNDER AB 205, THE COASTAL COMMISSION HAS THE FINAL SAY if it is in the coastal zone.
After you click Submit Speaker and choose your day to speak, you will see the “Remote testimony” form. Use this form whether you are speaking on Zoom or in person. If you can go as a group in person, fill the form out and look for the box that says how you will participate.
There is a separate page where you find out how to send in a visual aid such as a power point. They want you to email it in the day before, prior to 5:00 pm.
